Some japanese and italian supersport machines ex-factory already have a slipper clutch integrated. However there are substantial differences between such a clutch and a SuterClutch. The new Suter clutch technology is one step ahead of competitors thanks to a new and revolutionary mechanism which is clearly confirmed by better lap times and greater road safety.
This successful slipper clutch has its roots back in the year 1996 when Suter Racing began the development of a novel slipper clutch for bikes in the MotoGP world championship. This clutch system brought a vast technical lead over other existing slipper clutches. Riders could initiate the braking a lot later and lean into turns faster and more precise.
Since then this slipper clutch has been constantly further developed, the weight & friction has been reduced, it became stronger and even faster to install. Many private and well-known factory teams use the SRT clutch system to their complete satisfaction. A SuterClutch customer can be sure to combine long-lasting experience with the newest technology available.
In Supermotard the SuterClutch performs the same task as in road racing bikes: No more rear wheel hopping, easier controllable slides and a smoother, more precise response while through the reduced engine braking an optimal racing line can be achieved through corners. Almost any top Supermoto Racer uses a slipper clutch.
Motocross-Riders will benefit mainly from the reduced engine braking. With the SuterClutch they experience a much smoother braking phase over rough terrain resulting in better lap times. For the same reason it is simply a must for 2-stroke pilots changing to a 4-stroke bike.
Enduro-Riders appreciate the possibility by the SuterClutch to decelerate hard even in the most demanding situations and on rough ground. This slipper clutch ensures that the rear wheel turns evenly over different soil conditions and keeps the line.

This high quality SuterClutch precision machined from T-6 aircraft quality aluminum impresses through its fine responsiveness, the efficient inner lubrication and its easy installation. The special colour of this clutch results from the hard anodised teflon coating which considerably minimizes the wear on the friction surfaces.
Included with delivery are all relevant parts for installation and four Anti-hopping springs. Through its ingenious design, this clutch can be fitted without any special installation tools. The pressure plate is installed using 6 bolts, allowing easy access for maintenance. The Anti-hopping effect can be adjusted for every riding style.
